Maya Ball Bounce (New)

I previously had a post (that I deleted to replace it with this one) and I didn't realize that the ball was sooooo small you couldn't even see it haha. Well since then I revised my ball bounce and it has better arcs and better timing now. So here it is:

Next up: Sack Pantomime! Stay tuned! :)

More 117 Stuff

Hello hello. A new 117 assignment due tomorrow. We were to take a short story and tell the story with abstract shapes with values of black, white, and 2 grey tones. So here's what I came up with:

The story is basically about a man who runs into a forest, all wild and tearing off his clothes, and something happens in that process where his attitude towards life changes and "the spirit of the wood possesses him". And then days later he can't recall what happened but has a memory that he's seen his life "from a different angle" and "simplified many manners."

Well that's about it for now. Stay tuned for hopefully some maya animation!

In Coffee

Here's me soaking in a cup of coffee. (I think I drink coffee too much, but sure love it!) Hmm the cup's supposed to be greener, it scanned pretty muddy, o well.

School starts tomorrow! Stay tuned! :)

I hope I can finish her by the end of the night, but I have an essay to write. So if it's not done tonight the finish will be up tomorrow! :)

Here's just a little illustration of me and a cup of coffee.

I watched "The Duchess" recently starring Keira Knightley recently. I thought it was a great movie! Or I may just be a sucker for British costume dramas because I also watched "The Other Boleyn Girl" and I really liked that too. So here's a cartoony version of Keira Knightley as the Duchess of Devonshire:

I also sketched at Barnes and Noble the other night and here's two sketches:

I will try to do more drawings. Seems like my winter class does not permit me to do a drawing a night (it takes up more time than I wish), so I'll try to finish one every other day. Stay tuned! :)

SketchCrawl!

Yesterday I went to SketchCrawl in SF with Chris P and Andrea R. I had a great and relaxing time! Here are some of the sketches that came from it:

Looks like Blogger is not enabling me to upload anything again at the moment. But stay tuned for a couple more sketches soon! :)

Just a little drawing

I've been playing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates on the DS lately so I decided to draw Meeth! I didn't really like her in the beginning, but as I'm playing the game I think I became quite fond of the character. Cute little bugger, ey?

I'll try to do a drawing a night, unless I get super busy. Hopefully I'll stick to it! :P

Projects from last semester

Ah I'm finally getting my lazy butt to upload these here. This is what I ended up submitting for my 115 class. It's not quite my "vision", but I did my best with the given time!

Some shots were rushed and are almost like placeholders until one day I have the knowledge and skill to animate them. This film was quite the challenge I say!

If I had more time and had more animation knowledge, I would take it to a finished level according to this animatic:

But alas life moves on and I gotta focus on the future classes.. maybe one day I will revisit it! :)

Oh, also I don't think I've ever posted this one before. This is a glance to the past. Here's a short that I did 2 years ago, Winter of 2006 I believe. It's a film I submitted for the 15-Second Film Festival. Looking at it now it sure looks crumby, haha! Nonetheless I worked hard on it at the time so I'm still happy with it! :)

As for 118 I still need to put together the new/revised shots into Premeire. When I do I'll try to add it onto this post!

Happy New Year!!! (A non-art post)

Happy New Year everyone!!! Here's just some pictures of the celebration:

Hope everyone had a fun and great New Years!

As for artistic posts, I'll try to post up my 115 Final Animation and 118 Final Storyboards. For the boards I have to put them into Premiere and time it out again since I revised it since the last one. So... yup! Stay tuned for more shtuff! :)
